yes, i have finally started renovating my studio. it will be an exciting year as i have set my sights on a lot of things. out of a very large garage the banam art studio is now developing step by step. and I’ll try to rebuild as much as I can on my own.
because i want to add a second level, i first have to renovate the top floor, as this is difficult to reach later. first i will close the roof from the inside. as the beams should remain visible later, roof battens inside the fields have to be screwed on.
it’s really a big thing for me to finally be able to start. you don’t really earn much money with art. and since i’m financing the complete renovation through selling my art, so i’ve been saving for a long time. i will only be able to continue working on the weekends, so the renovation will certainly take some time. but i am convinced of the theory that the longer you deal with something, the better it gets.
07/01/20 – first of all i had to fix roof battens to the beams so that I could install plasterboards there later.
24/01/20 – then i sanded down all the beams.
25/01/20 – i put linseed oil in all the polished beams and i love the color.
